Looking after a pool is four things that repeat: circulating the water, balancing the chemistry, taking dirt off the floor and the surface, and backwashing the filter. We do that work for you, or we teach you to do it and supply what you need. Every pool we build is handed over with a maintenance plan.

The exact numbers depend on the size of the pool, how much it is used and how many leaves fall into it. That is why we write the plan for your pool rather than in general.
The water
Balancing the water.
Clear water is not only a question of disinfectant. If the pH drifts outside the recommended range the disinfectant loses its effect and the water starts to sting the eyes, no matter how much chlorine goes in. The recognised industry standards keep pH close to neutral, within a narrow band.
So the practical rule is: measure pH first, correct it, and only then think about the disinfectant. We give you the test kit and show you how to read it.

A robot takes most of the weekly work away. You drop it in and it cleans the floor, the walls and the waterline by itself. We are the authorised Aiper dealer, so the warranty and the spare parts come from us.
A robot does not replace chemical balancing, and it does not replace the filter. It replaces the vacuum head and the hour you used to spend on it.
Winter.
A pool is not emptied for winter, because an empty pool is damaged by ground pressure and groundwater. Instead the water level is dropped, the pipes and equipment that could freeze are drained, and the cover is closed. In spring the system is restarted and the water balanced again.

How often should a swimming pool be cleaned?
The surface and floor need cleaning at least once a week in season, or daily if you have a robot. Water values are checked several times a week. The filter is backwashed when the pressure rises above its normal working value.
Should a pool be emptied in winter?
No. An empty pool is at risk from ground pressure and groundwater. The water is dropped below the skimmers, the pipes and equipment are drained so they cannot freeze, and the cover is closed.
How much does monthly maintenance cost?
The main running cost is the electricity for the pump, then the chemicals. A cover lowers both and a robot removes most of the labour. We give you the numbers for your size rather than a general figure.
Do you maintain pools you did not build?
Yes. We start with a check of the system, because a water problem is often really a filter or a circulation problem.

We build and service in Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia. Our base is in Gjakova. Distance changes the schedule, not the standard.
