How to choose the right pump
Work out how many cubic metres of water the pool holds and how many times that whole volume should pass through the filter in twenty-four hours. That gives the flow you need in cubic metres per hour. The pump is chosen for that flow, and the filter is chosen to handle it.
The most common mistake is a pump more powerful than the filter. The water goes through the media too fast, filtration drops off, and the electricity is wasted.

Common questions
How do I choose a pump for my pool size?
From the water volume and the turnover time, not from the motor rating. Give us the length, width and average depth and we will work it out.
Does the pump need to run all day?
Not necessarily all day, but the whole volume should pass through the filter several times in twenty-four hours. A timer splits that into a few cycles.
Single phase or three phase?
It depends on the electrical supply you have. We stock both and we check this before choosing the pump.
